Having trouble reaching your goals?
Have lots on your to do list however they seem to be just out of reach or you fall short on completing them or following through.
Perhaps it's your strategy when yo first set your goals.
I have a system that will speed up the process and improve your chances of success in achieving your goals.
Its called SMART goals
and although its been around for awhile , how you plan and execute the steps is the key to success.
Let's dive in;
Specific: the more detailed and specific you can be about what you want to achieve the more likely your brain can identify and bring that goal to reality.
Get it down in black and white and out of your head.
Measurable: You have to know how you are progressing on your goal and when you have achieved it.
Achievable: It has to be possible for you to achieve this goal.
Realistic: It has to be within your reach to achieve this goal
Timed: means having a deadline by which it will be completed. This gives momentum and accountability to achieve that goal.
How powerful is your mind? More powerful than you think I'll suggest.
If you were to act as though you could not fail what results do you think you would get? Would they be different from what you would normally get? I wonder?
You do become what you think about. What you focus on will grow and expand. That's why it's so important to choose carefully what you think about, what you read, watch or see on television, video, DVD or any form of media.
All the messages your brain receives in a day or a night for that matter go to make your experience.
More importantly what you choose those messages to mean in your life is critically important, as it will determine your actions and hence your results. Neat huh!
Now if you act as though something you want as a goal or an outcome has already occurred, this sends powerful messages to your brain to look for evidence of this outcome.
Your unconscious mind cannot tell the difference between an imagined image or picture and a real one. This is why what you visualise is so important and what you attract as a result is also determined by what you visualise and tell yourself.
If there is something getting in your way or holding you back, examine it closely and decide how long are you willing to tolerate this situation or is there another more resourceful way to go about it? That's where a life coach comes in.
They are very good at spotting patterns in human behaviour which limit your success or are unresourceful to you. If you need any help with this let me know.
NLP ( neuro-linguistic programming) can give you very useful tools to lift your performance and your quality of life. Ask me how?
The sequence goes like this, what you think about determines your emotions, which in turn determine your actions and then your results. So if you want to get a particular result or outcome where do you begin? … yes with your thinking… neat huh!

Feeling stressed and tense? Maybe you’ve been sitting at that desk too long and it’s time for some relaxation. You know those muscles across the back of your shoulders tighten up and need to be loosened and relaxed.
Try abdominal or diaphragmatic breathing, you’ll be surprised how relaxing and energising this simple technique can be.
When the tension is starting to build and your muscles are a little tight this technique can give you relief. Wouldn’t that be helpful to you?
In a quiet place where you will not be disturbed for 20-30 minutes, sit down or lay flat, put some relaxing soft music on if it helps and concentrate on your breathing.
Abdominal or diaphragmatic breathing.
Close your eyes if it helps and focus only on your breathing. Take slow, deep breaths in through the nose, down into the belly using your diaphragm to fill your lung fully with energising oxygen and release your breath slowly and gently.
This is the most natural breathing. It is deep and slow, rhythmic and relaxing. As you become more aware of your breathing pattern, in and out.
You will balance your oxygen and carbon dioxide blood levels, normalise you heart rate, and reduce your muscle tension. Imagine that life giving oxygen going to all parts of your body via your many blood vessels as your heart pumps a strong, steady regular and rhythmic beat. As your body become more relaxed, you become more consciously aware of who you are and who you want to be. As you allow yourself to get in touch with your “higher self” you will notice feelings of harmony, trust, gratitude and love which you can come back to any time you like (this is called anchoring by NLP teachers)
Practice this technique at least once a day for about 20 minutes and you will notice the profound relaxation induced by diaphragmatic breathing will assist you to re-establish your emotional equilibrium and free up energy for your daily tasks and for healing.
I trust you will find this technique useful -
Let me know what you have found yourself, regards how to relax and enjoy your life more fully.
We're either ripe and rotting or green and growing.
Seem a bit harsh? Well not really.
It's still a choice which we all have everyday.
Our thoughts lead to creating emotions and what they mean to us based on our experiences.
Next we can take actions which give us results.
All these results or outcomes are based on our choices and what we do with them.
Having trouble finding or choosing your pathway in life?
Too many choices and it's all a bit confusing?
